HACKATHON TERMS AND CONDITIONS
ACCELQ Automation Hackathon & Eligibility
The ACCELQ UTD Automation Hackathon will be a 3-day online hackathon from 1st April 2022 9 am until 3rd April 2022, 11:59 pm CT.
The ACCELQ UTD Automation Hackathon is not an “Open to all” event but an exclusive event for the University of Dallas in Texas. Any professional can participate, but only after formally registering.
Participation in ACCELQ UTD Automation Hackathon is free. ACCELQ reserve all rights to reject participation for any particular participant without the need to assign any reason.
You can participate only individually in this event.
Registration & Selection of Participants
All applicants must register as an individual before 1st April 2022, 10 am CST. Registration is only possible through the university.
Each applicant must provide the required information for the registration. No late submissions will be accepted and any incomplete, false, erroneous, fraudulent, forged, tampered forms will not be considered.
All registered persons, who qualify for the competition, based on the information provided during the registration will be informed by formal acceptance notice via email and will be granted platform access before 1st April 2022 evening along with helpful tutorials.
Participants may submit only one entry for the competition.
The individuals have time to work and finalize their entry for the competition from 1st April 2022 10.30 am until 3rd April 2022, 11.59 pm CST.
ACCELQ will not provide any devices (Laptop/Computer) or internet connection during the event. Participants are encouraged to use their own laptops and make arrangements for a strong internet connection and backup connection as well if possible.
Selection of the winning entry/entries for the ACCELQ UTD Automation Hackathon shall be carried out by the Judging Panel at ACCELQ. The Judging Panel’s decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into. The Judging Panel and the relevant selection criteria for the decision will be announced during the event briefing session on the Event day.
Ideas & Intellectual Property
Participants agree to share their ideas with all others at the ACCELQ UTD Hackathon. ACCELQ does not accept any responsibility to protect participants’ ideas, works, and results disclosed or generated during the ACCELQ UTD Automation Hackathon. Each participant waives any claims that the participant may have against ACCELQ resulting from any similarities to the entry of the participant’s team.
ACCELQ platform access granted to participants during or in connection with ACCELQ Hackathon is strictly for the purpose of participation. You may not access and use the Platform if you are, or if you represent a competitor of ACCELQ. This subscription is not to be used for any other purpose including evaluation or competitive analysis.
Participants should not indulge in attempting unauthorized access to ACCELQ IT network or confidential information. Participants should not indulge in infringement of any copyright, trademark, patent, or other proprietary rights of ACCELQ. ACCELQ does not permit to disclose to any entity, information of the platform. Participants must ensure that the Confidential Information remains strictly confidential and is not disclosed to or seen, used, or obtained by any person or entity.
ACCELQ grants the User a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, and non-transferable right to use the Platform and the services, content, and functions provided through it for the duration of the event. Apart from the rights expressly granted above, the User is not entitled to any other rights. In particular use of the Platform for commercial purposes is excluded.
Instructions & Behaviour
Participants acknowledge that they will comply with instructions given by ACCELQ, its legal representatives, or officials. House rules, safety instructions, and information concerning the liability will be made available to participants prior to the event. A participant or team may be disqualified for any committed unlawful act. Reasons for disqualification may include but are not limited to, fraud, any other form of dishonesty, misappropriation or infringement of the intellectual property of others, misuse of ACCELQ intellectual property, and/or any failure to comply with these ACCELQ UTD Automation Hackathon Terms and Conditions.
ACCELQ shall not be liable for any damages or claims that might arise or occur during or in connection with the ACCELQ UTD Automation Hackathon, except in cases of intent or gross negligence on the part of ACCELQ. Participants shall indemnify and hold ACCELQ harmless from and against any claims of third parties arising from any violation of any third party right or any other unlawful act committed during the ACCELQ Hackathon or from any breach of these ACCELQ Hackathon Terms and Conditions.
The personal data of the applicants/ participants will be used per the Privacy and Data Protection Act. By registering, the applicant agrees that his/her personal data ( like Name, Email, and Contact number ) or any picture being taken within the course of the Hackathon may be stored and used by ACCELQ within the course of carrying out the ACCELQ UTD Automation Hackathon and for future promotional, marketing, publicity and recruitment purposes without claim to remuneration.

- 3rd Team Prize: 500 $ Gift Card *
*Gift cards may be replaced by equivalent items, amazon vouchers, or cash rewards, such change to be announced a.s.a.p. if any.
The Time and Date for the winner announcement will be communicated on the event day. Winners will be solely responsible for complying with any and all applicable laws, rules, and regulations relating to the prize. ACCELQ does not assume and hereby disclaims any liability in this respect.
